Due to this, we are expanding our team with an exciting opportunity available to join us as a tech-driven Sustainability Data Consultant to help deliver exceptional results for our customers and contribute to the growth of our consultancy.
We are looking to hire a trained, like-minded professional with experience in a Sustainability consultancy space or specialized in Net Zero projects, who is passionate about sustainability and eager to drive real environmental and social change through pioneering data-driven solutions.
As a Sustainability Data Consultant, you will play a crucial role in guiding our stakeholders' environmental objectives by providing qualified advice and guidance on various projects. This will involve processing complex data into clear, digestible reports for clients and assessing a wide range of business data to produce meaningful roadmaps for decarbonisation and relevant certifications.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to advance their consulting career. It is ideal for someone with excellent attention to detail, a hands-on approach, and the confidence to challenge existing methods, recognize opportunities, and identify innovative solutions.
You will be responsible for processing large and complex data sets, conducting carbon footprint data analysis, report writing, and supporting environmental assessment projects, including defining Net Zero roadmaps and identifying opportunities for future client support and business growth.
To succeed in this role, you should be proficient with data management, analysis, and reporting tools, and have a solid understanding of Net Zero, its global context, and reporting standards. Knowledge of sustainability fundamentals, practices, and frameworks (e.g., UN SDGs, SBTi, ESOS, SECR, UK SDS, ISO 14001) is essential.
You should also have experience partnering with stakeholders and external partners to influence change, using investigative skills to explore sustainability issues and deliver creative solutions.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Sustainability, STEM, or a related field, or possess similar certifications. At least two years of experience in a Sustainability Consultancy or driving environmental change within FTSE 250 organizations is required. A good understanding of various IT systems and awareness of Machine Learning / AI principles is also desirable.
