Key Responsibilities: Create a supportive and structured learning environment Deliver adapted and engaging lessons to students with SEMH needs Use effective behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs Work collaboratively with support staff and therapists to meet EHCP targets Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families Track progress and adapt teaching plans accordingly Contribute to whole-school wellbeing and community initiatives Qualifications and Experience: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential) Experience teaching or supporting students with SEMH (preferred) Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills A resilient, nurturing, and patient approach to teaching Ability to build positive relationships with students facing complex challenges A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education Passion for helping students achieve both academically and personally SENDirect and our partner school are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
