Training Contract Pathway
Our unique Training Contract is designed around you, with secondments tailored to your preferences in practice areas and organisation type. Accutrainee acts as your training establishment and will continually monitor and assess your work and development throughout the contract.
Requirements – Training Contract Pathway
* A‑Level (or equivalent)
* Qualifying law degree or GDL (please apply towards the end of your LLB/GDL)
* LPC (applications accepted even if LPC not yet completed)
QWE Pathway
Under the SQE route, you will complete two SQE assessments and two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) to qualify as a solicitor. We offer placements that provide high‑quality legal work and significant responsibility, along with mentoring and support from our expert team.

* A‑Level (or equivalent)
* Degree (or equivalent)
* SQE Part 1 (if you have not completed an LLB or GDL, you may still be placed once SQE Part 1 is passed)
Duties and Responsibilities
Depending on your personalised plan you may complete a mix of contentious and non‑contentious placements. Trainees will develop a range of practice skills and gain valuable experience to support qualification. Trainees receive high levels of responsibility and are supported by mentoring throughout their placements.

We are looking for candidates with strong intellectual, analytical and problem‑solving skills, good communication and organisational abilities, resilience, commercial awareness, teamwork, a passion for law, and dedication to succeed. Mitigating circumstances will be considered during the selection process.
Accutrainee Scholarship Programme
You may be considered for the Accutrainee Scholarship Programme, which aims to increase access to the legal profession for underrepresented groups and candidates from less advantaged backgrounds. Eligibility will be assessed during and after the selection process.
Sponsorship Eligibility
We evaluate personal history, achievements and financial or socio‑economic circumstances, including any exceptional challenges faced. If you complete the selection process and are eligible, Accutrainee will seek trainee secondment opportunities for you. If you secure a secondment and begin your training contract or QWE, we will discuss funding for SQE assessments and LPC if applicable.

When to Apply
We are continually recruiting with no set deadlines. Secondments can start at any time of the year. Most candidates apply towards the end of their LLB or after completing the GDL, LPC or SQE Part 1. Note: Safari users may experience difficulties; Chrome or Firefox is recommended.
