Position
A vacancy has arisen within CADS for a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Community Alcohol and Drug Service based at Falkirk Community Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical expertise, leadership and supervision to nursing staff delivering evidence-based specialist interventions to patients with substance use problems.
* Implement the principles of the recovery model of care and treatment for those with drug and alcohol related issues.
* Provide formal, structured supervision to each member of the nursing team to ensure patients progress along the recovery pathway and receive appropriate clinical interventions.
* Participate in an integrated model of care in conjunction with partner agencies.
* Travel throughout the area of service delivery as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* 1st level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) trained to degree level with postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty.
* Good interpersonal skills and experience of team working.
* Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

As of 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours, with a corresponding hourly rate increase.
