Admin Assistant
Location: Hitchin, Herts
Salary: £25k–£26k basic
Job Type: Permanent, office-based
Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Admin Assistant to join their team. You will provide vital support across administration, finance, and order fulfilment, helping to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations. Training will be provided on the company’s ERP systems, so prior experience with them is not required.
Details
* 37.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times between 7:30 am–6:00 pm
* Opportunity for extra hours based on business needs
* Occasional travel may be required (full driving licence essential)
Responsibilities
* Provide clerical support to our client’s team in Order Fulfilment and Finance
* Input customer quotations and orders into ERP systems
* Produce and collate export shipping documentation
* Assist with Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees for export invoicing
* Record production staff timecards and staff attendance
* Manage DHL dispatches and general office duties
* Handle calls and assist with visitor arrangements
* Highlight and resolve problems efficiently as part of the team
What We’re Looking For
* Good GCSEs in Maths and English; A-levels desirable
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and ability to work with all levels of staff
* Self‑motivated, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities
