Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
Location: Central Belt Scotland
Salary: £35,000 - £55,000 + £300 Car allowance
D7 Recruitment is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager. Our client aims to transform perceptions of health and safety and has a history of helping leaders improve operational safety.
The HSE Manager will oversee health and safety practices on a live construction project, including managing our electronic management system. The role ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, especially the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The manager will support and guide clients, contractors, and workers to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and discharge of the Principal Contractor responsibilities.
2. Develop and maintain project documentation such as the Construction Phase Plan (CPP), emergency plans, and fire risk assessments. Coordinate contractor activities through permit-to-work systems.
3. Monitor and enforce safety protocols on-site, conduct safety audits, and provide safety training as needed.
4. Investigate incidents and near misses, preparing reports and implementing corrective actions.
5. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all legal requirements are met.
This role is vital in promoting a safety-first culture on the project and ensuring all safety standards are adhered to effectively.
