RCT Council is recruiting to its Graduate Programme, offering opportunities to work in a vibrant environment, learn new and transferable skills, meet people from a range of backgrounds and develop a professional career in Rhondda Cynon Taf. All Graduate Officers will be supported to complete either a Level 4 Project Management qualification or job-related technical training (fully funded) as part of the programme.

ICT & Digital Services

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for technology and communication? Join our Technical Services Team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment while helping to shape the future of unified communications.

What You'll Be Doing

* Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of communication systems
* Supporting the day-to-day operations of unified communication platforms
* Collaborating with team members to develop and deploy new communication solutions
* Providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users
* Conducting research and staying up to date with the latest industry trends
* Participating in project planning and execution
* Documenting processes and creating user guides

Systems You'll Be Working With

* Cisco and Aruba Networking
* Microsoft Teams and Office 365
* Microsoft Teams Telephony
* VoIP systems
* Unified Messaging solutions
* Audio and video conferencing tools
* Collaboration software

What We're Looking For

* A recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
* Familiarity with communication platforms and technologies
* Ability to adapt to new challenges and work under pressure

Essential Qualifications

A minimum 2.2 degree is required in an appropriate IT qualification. Examples include:

* BSc (Hons) Computer Science / Computing
* BSc (Hons) Computer Applications Development
* BSc (Hons) Information Communication Technology

Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council. In addition, the successful applicant for this role will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
