Wecurrently have an opportunity for a Process Engineer to support theimplementation of site projects. Therole is based at our site in Leek, Staffordshire. The site is undergoinginvestment for the future including equipment and infrastructure. The role involves working as part of aflexible engineering team tackling projects both large and small. Projects arein support of the manufacturing processes and supporting equipment and systems.Day-to-day tasks can vary greatly based priorities and requires working closelywith the Safety, Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams. The role will also involve interaction withspecialised external contractors with the overall aim to allow production tooperate safely and efficiently.
The main purpose of the role isto provide-engineering support to maintain and improve plant integrity,reliability, and operability.
1. Provide process engineering support including specifying associated process equipment and produce related documentation.
2. Contribute to all stages of projects through to commissioning and ongoing support.
3. Lead or manage projects of varying size and complexity. From individual actions to more significant projects.
4. Implement engineering solutions to resolve issues to improve plant safety, operability, and efficiency.
5. Participate in QA activities such as management of change, validation and creating operating instructions. Contribute to risk assessment of proposed plant modifications.
6. Participate in Hazard Studies, undertake risk assessments and review contractor supplied assessments.
7. Carry out or participate in root cause analysis on plant failures for the purposes of improving reliability.
8. Work collaboratively with the engineering and whole site team.

Essentials:
18. Demonstrable commitment to maintaining high safety, health & environmental standards.
19. Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or comparable discipline
20. Good problem solving and project management skills.
21. Strong knowledge of design and operation standards associated with process equipment.
22. Be an effective communicator, capable of influencing and building effective working relationships internally and externally to the business.
Desirables:
23. Experience installing equipment in a comparable process industry.
24. Experience working in a GMP environment.
25. AutoCAD user to produce PFD/P&ID’s
26. Knowledge of DSEAR, ATEX, Pressure systems, PUWER or other regulation.
27. Root Cause Analysis or other problem-solving methodologies.
28. NEBOSH National General Certificate
