HR Advisor – Employee Relations & Wellbeing
Location: Plymouth
Contract: Full-time (office-based)
Salary: £30,000 – £36,000
Working hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:00; Friday 08:00–15:30
We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business in Plymouth who are looking for an HR Advisor to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the people side of HR, especially employee relations, and wants to take ownership while also getting involved in wellbeing and engagement across the business.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the go-to person for all things employee relations, supporting managers on day-to-day issues and more complex cases.
You’ll also get involved in wellbeing initiatives and absence management, helping to create a positive, supportive working environment.
* Managing ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance)
* Supporting and coaching managers through tricky situations
* Handling long-term sickness and return-to-work plans
* Liaising with occupational health
* Running or supporting wellbeing and engagement initiatives
* Keeping an eye on trends (absence, ER cases etc.) and suggesting improvements
* Supporting with general HR duties when needed
What we’re looking for
* CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or similar experience
* Previous experience in an HR Advisor role
* Confident dealing with employee relations cases independently
* Good understanding of UK employment law
* Someone approachable, organised, and confident working with managers
