Role Overview
This role is for a Quality Inspector with a strong bias towards welding inspection and shop floor quality control. You will be responsible for ensuring that products, components, and assemblies meet internal standards and customer requirements, supporting both in-process and final inspection activities.
Day to Day Responsibilities
* Carry out in-process and final inspections on products, components, and assemblies
* Verify compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards
* Inspect welds and fabrication work to ensure workmanship meets required standards
* Identify, record, and report non‑conformances
* Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
* Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
* Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues
* Ensure inspection equipment is used correctly and maintained/calibrated
* Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
* Promote a strong quality and safety culture across the shop floor
The Individual – Qualifications & Experience
* Strong background in quality inspection within a manufacturing / engineering environment
* Solid understanding of welding processes and fabrication
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Experience using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges)
* Familiar with welding inspection standards (CSWIP preferred or working towards)
