The Role:
This role calls for a dynamic individual who combines strategic insight with hands-on recruitment expertise and a genuine passion for people. As part of our Head Office Recruitment Team, you’ll report directly to the Head of Talent Acquisition and play a key role in contributing to our talent strategy. Here's what you'll be doing:
* Own the Full Recruitment Journey: Lead the entire hiring process from initial briefing through to offer, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
* Act as a Trusted Talent Advisor: Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, offering strategic guidance and insight to help them attract and select the best talent.
* Promote Our Employer Brand: Bring the Warburtons story to life by supporting employer branding initiatives across job boards, social media, and careers events.
* Deliver Outstanding Candidate Experiences: Ensure every candidate has a positive and engaging experience throughout the recruitment process.
* Drive Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance recruitment processes to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance with employment law and internal policies.
* Use Data to Drive Decisions: Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics, using insights to refine strategies and demonstrate impact.
* Lead and Support Key Projects: Contribute to exciting initiatives such as Early Careers Programmes, careers site enhancements, and recruitment technology upgrades.
* Stay Informed and Insightful: Keep up to date with market trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor activity, providing valuable insights to shape talent strategies.
Essential Ingredients:
* Extensive In-House Recruitment Experience: A strong background in internal recruitment, ideally complemented by agency or RPO experience, with a proven track record across a variety of business areas — including high-volume hiring in Retail or FMCG environments.
* Expertise in Talent Acquisition Methodologies: Skilled in designing and implementing effective sourcing, screening, and selection strategies that attract and secure top talent.
* Early Careers Programme Development: Experience in building and delivering impactful Early Careers initiatives within a large, complex organisation.
* Confident Direct Sourcing Skills: A hands-on approach to sourcing, including headhunting, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social media, and branded advertising — with a focus on proactive talent engagement.
* Talent Mapping & Market Insight: Ability to conduct detailed market and candidate mapping to support strategic workforce planning and build robust talent pipelines.
* Strong Stakeholder Management: Confident working with senior leaders, building trusted relationships, and influencing hiring decisions with credibility and insight.
* Professional Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polished and professional approach in all interactions.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable working with recruitment data and analytics to inform decisions, track performance against KPIs and SLAs, and continuously improve outcomes — including metrics like time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire.
