The Role
Commercial Litigation - Senior Associate - Up to 85,000 salary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Litigation solicitor to join a highly regarded regional law firm with offices in Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham.
This role offers the chance to handle and lead complex commercial legal cases while contributing to the firm’s growth and maintaining a strong local presence. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of high-value disputes, including contract disputes, shareholder conflicts, and professional negligence claims.
With a focus on protecting clients’ interests, you will provide expert advice, represent clients in court and alternative dispute resolution settings, and maintain the firm’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a range of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, shareholder conflicts, and professional negligence claims
* Advise clients on legal strategies, risks, and potential outcomes, ensuring clear and effective communication
* Represent clients in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums, preparing and advocating their cases
* Draft and review legal documents, such as pleadings, witness statements, expert reports, and settlement agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards
* Conduct in-depth legal research to guide strategy and decision-making
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and fostering trust throughout the process
* Stay updated on changes in commercial law and legal developments to ensure the highest standards of practice
* Contribute to the firm’s growth through networking activities, identifying client needs, and building client relationships
The Candidate
* 10+ years’ post-qualification experience in Commercial Litigation, with a proven track record of handling complex cases
* Strong understanding of commercial law, dispute resolution, and the latest legal developments in the field
* Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to think strategically
* Clear and effective communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* A resilient, client-focused, and commercially aware mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services
