We’re looking for dedicated Waking Night Residential Childcare Workers to join our caring, experienced team in Formby.

About the role:
As a Waking Night RCW, you will play a key role in ensuring the overnight safety and well‑being of the children in our care. Working as part of a therapeutic team, you’ll contribute to a calm and secure environment where young people can feel protected and respected, even while they sleep.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* To remain awake and vigilant for the duration of your shift ensuring young people are safeguarded throughout the night
* To undertake such domestic duties including cooking and cleaning that have been identified on the daily handover and passed to you by the Team Leader at the beginning of your shift
* To maintain a log of events throughout the course of your shift and prepare handover ready for staff in the morning
* To deliver personal care when guided by the young person’s care plan
* To be responsible for the security of the building for the duration of your shift
* To participate in training as directed by your line manager and if applicable complete diploma in line with Children’s Home Regulations 2015
What we are looking for:
* Ideally have previous Residential Childcare experience
* Experience with Learning disabilities or mental health support for adults & children is desirable
* Work on a Night shift/Rota basis - Waking Night shifts (152 hours per month)
* An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment
