Salary: £92 – £115 per day
Are you a compassionate and resilient Complex Needs Support Worker looking for a Teaching Assistant position, and is passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
GSL Education are seeking a Complex Needs Support Worker to support students with complex learning, communication, and physical needs at a special needs school in Scarborough.
As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you will provide tailored, individualised support alongside teachers and support staff, promoting independence, communication, and engagement while ensuring a safe, nurturing learning environment for pupils with high levels of need.
Complex Needs Support Worker Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with complex needs in lessons and daily activities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning plans
* Assist with personal care where required
* Support communication development using appropriate strategies and resources
* Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Complex Needs Support Worker Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with complex needs or SEN
* A patient, caring, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to follow structured support and care plans
* Willingness to support personal care needs
* An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
* An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
