Job Details
* Title: Commercial Gas Engineer (HVAC)
* Location: Edinburgh / East Scotland
* Contract: Permanent
* Hours: 45 Hours Per Week
* Salary: £46,865 Total Salary (including Standby Payment) + Overtime + Travel Time
This role involves maintenance and repair of commercial heating and air conditioning systems across retail stores, including reactive work, PPMs, and minor repairs.
Responsibilities
* Perform PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
* Service and repair mechanical equipment such as boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs, FCUs.
* Perform minor alterations and installations within your technical competence.
* Order spares following procedures.
* Identify faults and advise supervisors with recommendations for replacements.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical/HVAC or equivalent.
* ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A).
Desirable but not essential:
* ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications (CCN, CENWAT, CPA).
* City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.
* City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition.
Candidate Attributes
* Flexible to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota (every 1:4 weeks).
* Full driving license.
* Experience with PDA systems.
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
* Experience in retail maintenance environments.
