I am working with a top International law firm who are looking for a Senior Financial Crime Advisor to join their team for a permanent position.
Role responsibilities:
* Review and analyze complex AML and Sanctions cases escalated to the Financial Crime team, with guidance from senior colleagues.
* Act as a first point of contact for Financial Crime-related queries from the business.
* Support responses to internal audit findings and regulatory inspections, including conducting ad hoc file reviews to confirm adoption of process improvements.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings.
* Provide guidance on new client and matter onboarding when required.
* Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of risk and control frameworks, policies, procedures, and training across the Group.
Qualifications and experience required:
* Background in a second-line financial crime function with emphasis on AML, sanctions, and broader financial crime, ideally within a law firm or professional services setting.
* Skilled in reviewing and interpreting legislation, regulations, and industry guidance, and applying these to make risk-based decisions.
* Strong knowledge of sanctions frameworks, PEPs, and other high-risk categories
