We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Maintenance Operative/Supervisor at Lymington New Forest Hospital. Our maintenance business provides a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health, and social care sectors. We look after a growing number of healthcare buildings for NHS Trusts, residential homes, and educational facilities. Using the latest technology, we ensure properties are well maintained, efficient, and fit for purpose.
Job Purpose
As a Lead Maintenance Operative/Supervisor, you will be hands-on, performing daily site maintenance duties as part of our responsive repairs and PPM (planned and preventative maintenance) programme. In addition to day-to-day maintenance duties, you will act as the focal point for external contractors, organizing and arranging planned maintenance visits where necessary.
You will also manage site files, ensuring that statutory and technical compliance, safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures are met on site. This position suits an experienced maintenance engineer seeking career progression while remaining hands-on. The position is based at Lymington Hospital, a busy inpatient hospital facility. Lymington Community Hospital was built by Rydon Construction under a PFI contract, and since 2006, Rydon Maintenance has provided Hard Facilities Management services, including Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance.

* Normal hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Experience & Qualifications
* Previous plant room maintenance experience
* Supervisory experience within a maintenance organization
* Experience supporting NHS clients preferred; candidates with experience in hotels, schools, supermarkets, etc., that can be applied to NHS settings will also be considered
* Technical knowledge of M&E building services maintenance
* Understanding of Health & Safety procedures in daily site operations
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
* Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
* Full UK driving license required
