Are you a Senior Mechanical or Building Services Engineer with experience in HVAC, Heat Pumps, or Low Carbon Energy systems looking to join a specialist consultancy at the forefront of renewable heating and cooling design?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing business where you'll take a leading role in delivering technically challenging projects, mentoring junior engineers, and shaping the future direction of the engineering team.
Working alongside industry experts with decades of experience in geothermal and heat pump technology, you'll have genuine ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning, while playing a key role in client management and technical leadership.
The Role
1. Lead the design and delivery of heat pump and HVAC projects.
2. Produce and review technical reports, specifications, calculations, and system designs.
3. Act as the technical lead and primary client interface on projects.
4. Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
5. Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational performance reviews.
6. Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers.
7. Drive engineering quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Essential
8. Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
9. 5+ years' experience within Building Services, HVAC, Heat Pumps, Energy, or Mechanical Design.
10. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, hydraulics, thermodynamics, and plant design.
11. Experience producing engineering calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
12. Knowledge of industry standards including CIBSE, BSRIA, and relevant British Standards.
13. Strong client-facing and project delivery experience.
