Smart Teachers is recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to support a large and inclusive secondary school in East London. This is a full-time, term-time only position ideal for someone passionate about student welfare, behavioural support, and reintegration strategies.
The Role
* Coordinate and supervise internal exclusions and the school's reintegration provision.
* Mentor students returning from internal exclusion, supporting personal development and academic progress.
* Collaborate with pastoral leads, SEND teams, and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
* Maintain accurate records using school systems such as My Concern and SIMS.
* Contribute to improving behaviour, attendance, and engagement among identified students.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
* English, Maths, and Science GCSEs (Grade C or above).
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and ICT skills.
* The ability to remain calm, confident, and flexible in a busy school environment.
* Experience or knowledge of reintegration or behaviour support is desirable but not essential.

Salary
(£28,295 to £29,558 pro-rata, based on 32.5 hours per week, 46.8 weeks per year).
