We are extremely excited to be supporting a Dumfries based company who are the UKâs specialist supplier of night vision, thermal imaging and advanced optics, serving professional pest control, wildlife management and outdoor enthusiasts.\n\nDue to continued expansion and development, they are now looking for a motivated, enthusiastic person to join their Sales Team as a Customer Services Apprentice.\n\nYou will play an integral role within the team, ensuring an excellent customer experience, supporting customers via phone, email, face to face. You will earn as you learn, gaining a nationally recognised qualification in Customer Service via an Apprenticeship, which you will be supported through by your own personal assessor from Elite Training. You will also be supported within the business, gaining experience and strong product knowledge across thermal imaging, night vision and optics. You will have the opportunity to gain further knowledge throughout the various departments, gaining experience in the wider business operations. You will also be a representative of the company at various trade shows\n What you will learn\nâ¢\tHow to deliver excellent customer service in a specialist retail environment.\nâ¢\tTechnical knowledge of thermal imaging, night vision and optical equipment.\nâ¢\tHow to communicate confidently with customers by phone, email and in person.\nâ¢\tExperience representing the business at trade shows and events.\nâ¢\tExposure to logistics, after-sales support and wider business operations.\n\nYour key responsibilities will include:\n\nCustomer Service & Customer Support\nâ¢\tRespond to customer enquiries via phone, email and online platforms.\nâ¢\tProvide helpful guidance on the product range including thermal imaging, night vision and optical equipment.\nâ¢\tSupport customers through the purchasing process, ensuring a positive experience from enquiry to order.\nâ¢\tAssist with follow-ups and after-sales communication where required.\nâ¢\tBuild strong product knowledge so you can confidently discuss features, use cases \nâ¢\tAssist with customer appointments and demonstrations at the office.\nâ¢\tHelp create a welcoming and professional experience for customers \nâ¢\tSupport customers who wish to view or test products before purchasing.\n\nTrade Shows & Events\nâ¢\tAttend and support UK trade shows and industry events.\nâ¢\tHelp prepare equipment and displays before events.\nâ¢\tSpeak with customers and demonstrate products alongside the team.\nâ¢\tAssist with event setup and pack-down.\n\nSocial Media & Content Support\nâ¢\tAssist with social media content creation, including short videos, photos or behind-the-scenes content.\nâ¢\tSupport marketing activity by capturing content at events or in the office.\nâ¢\tHelp share the work that the business does with the wildlife, pest control and outdoor community.\n Essential Qualities:\nâ¢\tClear and confident communicator.\nâ¢\tMinimum National 5 English \nâ¢\tPositive attitude and willingness to learn.\nâ¢\tComfortable speaking with customers both in person and over the phone.\nâ¢\tInterest in technology, wildlife, outdoor activities or specialist equipment.\nâ¢\tTeam player who is happy to support colleagues when needed.\nâ¢\tReliable, organised and professional.\n\nDesirable Extras:\nâ¢\tInterest in thermal imaging, night vision or outdoor technology.\nâ¢\tBasic understanding of social media platforms.\nâ¢\tPrevious customer-facing experience (part-time work, volunteering, school projects).\nâ¢\tDriving licence (useful for attending shows and events).\n\nIf youâre interested in technology, enjoy working with people, and want to build a career in customer services and or sales within a specialist industry, you might be just who weâre looking for.\n
