Your new role
As a customer care and wellbeing advisor, you’ll be a vital part of a dedicated team offering emotional support and safeguarding guidance to individuals experiencing crisis or mental health challenges. Working within a contact centre environment, you’ll respond to a range of calls, including mental health helpline contacts and emergency alerts, ensuring timely and empathetic assistance, sign posting and escalations.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing emotional support and practical guidance to callers in distress
2. Responding to assistive technology alarms and mental health helpline calls
3. Signposting to appropriate services and escalating safeguarding concerns
4. Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service improvements
5. Collaborating with internal teams and external partners
6. Supporting out-of-hours services and business continuity operations
Shift patterns (rota-based):
7. Early: 6:00am – 3:15pm
8. Late: 1:15pm – 10:30pm
9. Night: 9:00pm – 6:00am
Flexible options available: Full-time or part-time (2 or 3 days per week), with coverage across all shift types.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Experience in crisis helplines, mental health support, or similar roles
11. Excellentmunication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
12. Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask effectively
13. Strong IT skills and attention to detail
14. MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) qualification – or willingness to train
15. Understanding of diverse backgrounds and amitment to inclusive support
16. A proactive attitude and willingness to challenge the status quo for better oues
