Built from the ground up, Rugeley John Taylor will serve local communities, offering a ‘gold standard’ learning experience to the youngest learners all the way through to sixth formers. Joining this brand-new school, opening initially with Year 7 in the secondary phase in September 2025, our Pastoral Support Officer will support students with personal, social, developmental and behavioural problems to help them identity and realise their potential both inside and outside of school. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will develop activities for students on identified issues, implement preventative strategies and liaise with external agencies to support and monitor the progress of students. You could be ideal for this role if you have: •Demonstrable experience of working within a similar role supporting young people in a multi-agency setting •Understanding of the challenges young people face and have the motivation and commitment to support change •Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with pupils, families and other professionals •Organisation skills and attention to detail maintaining accurate notes in a timely manner •Flexibility and adaptability with a willingness to go the extra mile as the school and staff team evolves You could be part of our founding team and make a difference to young people every day in this role.
