You will carry out assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.
Duties and responsibilities
* Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
* Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help the DWP determine a person’s eligibility for benefits
* Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision
What we look for:
* An NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year’s broad post-registration experience in the UK
* A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
* Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
* An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions
