Care Assistant
Dean Wood Care Home, Warren Road, Woodingdean, Brighton, BN2 6DA
Pay: £13.10 - £14.10 per hour depending on experience.
Flexibility required with days, including alternate weekends.
Job Summary
As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide person‑centred care that supports independence and honours choice, delivering the highest standards of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
* Observe and manage residents’ behaviour with care and ensure documenting and reporting any changes in accordance with legislation.
* Support residents’ nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
* Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Motivation, positivity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
