Travel across the county will be required for this role. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Supported Accommodation Registered Service Manager in overseeing/managing service delivery of our Young People’s Supported Accommodation Service across North Yorkshire, including the provision of No Wrong Door Supported Accommodation. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality supported accommodation services to vulnerable young people 16-18 and supporting them to develop their life skills and prepare for adult life. Key Responsibilities will include: Supporting the Registered Service Manager in the day-to-day management of the service, including: · Day to day operational management of the service · Regulatory compliance, quality assurance and practice monitoring · Resource management – staffing, budget, and supported accommodation properties · Ensuring accommodation standards are maintained · Management support to a multi-disciplinary team Oversee the delivery of support to young people in four key areas: · UASC Supported Accommodation · No Wrong Door Supported Accommodation · Emergency Safe Stay Provision (emergency bed for max 4 consecutive nights) · Outreach support to Young People in our care/care experienced young people at risk of tenancy/accommodation breakdown As Deputy manager, you will need: · Knowledge on relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards for Supported Accommodation · Experience working in residential care or supported accommodation settings as a senior worker or at management level. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to be highly organised and be resilient and flexible in your work practice. · The ability to promote a positive and supportive culture/environment based on the models of practice/core offers of both the Supported Accommodation service and No Wrong Door and · To be able to work collaboratively with other professionals/agencies. Through the NWD Alternative provisions element of this post, you may at times also support NWD alternative provisions e.g., bespoke placements or offer management support to NWD hubs if requested by a Head of Service/Group Manager. This post will also take part in the No Wrong Door Management stand-by rota providing out of hours support to EDT/No Wrong Door/Supported Accommodation. This post may require work on evenings, weekends or bank holidays as needed.
