Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Site Operative in Corby, UK. The main purpose of this role is to support the site milling team to achieve production requirements including a high standard of health & safety, food safety, high quality (to include minimal waste) and cost control. The longer-term purpose is to gain the skills to be able to fulfill the role of a Miller in the future.
Your Responsibilities
1. Working safely at all times with particular focus on adhering to ADM life critical standards
2. Carefully following procedures that help to ensure high standards of food safety and product quality
3. Completion of cleaning and hygiene requirements as per the allocated schedule
4. Maintain a high focus on milling KPI targets (e.g. - wheat extraction, maximise throughput & minimise downtime)
5. Laboratory testing of wheat and flour samples to ensure high quality standards
6. Effective communication with all departments to ensure efficient operations
7. Accurate completion of all relevant paperwork
8. Production planning
9. Efficient supervision of mill machinery
10. Completion of any identified training and development programmes (e.g. the 7 NABIM exams)
11. Weighbridge operations when required
After successful completion of induction training the successful candidate will be working on a shift Rota on 4 days on 4 days off repeating pattern. These are either day shift, 06:00 hours to 18:00 hours, or night shift, from 18:00 hours to 06:00 hours. These shifts will be spent either covering as a mill technician, routine work on mill maintenance days, or any other task to enable the milling operation to meet the requirements of the business.

12. Familiarity with common Microsoft Applications
13. GSCE educated, with grade C or above (or equivalent) in mathematics, science and English
14. Problem solving skills
15. Good time management
16. Mechanical aptitude
17. Previous experience within the food or manufacturing industry
