Procurement Manager - Marketing

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing Procurement Manager to join the Tesco procurement team. This role requires an extensive marketing procurement category background with strengths in digital marketing; knowledge of technology procurement is an advantage.
This role supports the business to deliver change and innovation through contractual compliance and effective supplier relationship management.
Overview
You will be responsible for delivering procurement strategy and leading initiatives that support Tesco transformation priorities and drive value.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver procurement strategies. Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers internationally. Deliver value through contracts.
* Develop and implement projects that support Tesco transformation priorities.
* Provide opportunities for individual development in procurement through exposure to fast-paced transformational projects.
* Write and deliver the procurement plan for the services and products you are responsible for.
* Improve existing services, seek specialisation and automation improvements.
* Be the go-to person for Customer teams on the development of the digital marketing strategy.
* Lead supplier reviews and act as a partner point of contact for contract-related issues.
* Develop strong working relationships with the customer base (internally and external suppliers) to understand and influence requirements.
* Review existing and potential new suppliers and assess their sustainability to supply Tesco, minimising risk and optimising service.
You will need
* Strong commercial competence and negotiation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of cross-functional working and customer engagement.
* Proven record of delivering change through influencing and challenging the norm.
* Drive and resilience with high standards of ethics and personal integrity and a focus on development of self and others.
* At least three years of procurement/buying experience, preferably in Marketing/Technology.
