Job Title: Data Quality Officer - Financial Data Reconciliation Location: Remote (Must be UK Based) Duration: 2 Months Rate: £500/day Inside IR35 Sector: Government About the Role We're seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Quality Officer to take ownership of reconciling complex financial datasets in preparation for a major system migration. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on bringing order to large volumes of financial information and ensuring absolute data integrity. Key Responsibilities Reconcile historical financial data spanning more than four years to ensure accuracy and alignment between multiple data sources. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, collaborating with key finance stakeholders to validate and correct data issues. Perform rigorous data quality checks to guarantee completeness, consistency, and readiness for audit and migration. Document reconciliation processes and produce clear, comprehensive reports detailing findings, resolutions, and methodologies. Utilise advanced Excel techniques to structure, analyse, and reconcile financial transactions efficiently. Participate in agile project routines, including daily stand-ups and scheduled progress reviews, to provide updates and highlight risks or issues. Essential Skills & Experience Demonstrable experience in financial data reconciliation across multiple systems and datasets. Solid understanding of financial system structures, including general ledger principles. High-level proficiency in Excel and strong data manipulation skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous eye for detail. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with finance and project teams.
