An exciting opportunity has arisenfor a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. We areseeking an eager candidate who is able to provide effective services implementingand evaluating appropriate care plans whilst working in a multi-disciplinaryteam to ensure patients receive the best standard of care.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of theoperating theatre team and to participate in the assessment of patient care needs andimplement and maintain agreed standards of care. Following Codes of Professional Practiceprovide high quality care to patients undergoing treatment within the Peri-OperativeEnvironment.

The Responsibilities

1. Implementand evaluate care plans as appropriate of surgical equipment and patientconditions
2. Monitoran assess patient condition, respond to changes in condition and propose/makechanges to care plan as required
3. Delegateand supervise juniors, unqualified and less experienced
4. Workin an MDT following local protocol and standards
5. Awarenessof the effective management of resources in the department
6. Participatein clinical trials/research when required
7. Provideleadership model and demonstrate specialist knowledge and high standards of clinicalpractice and provide support
8. Planand prepare equipment to needs and procedures
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
9. Relevant degreeor equivalent
10. Currentrelevant professional registration
11. Minimum 2years post-qualification experience
12. Enhanced DBS
13. UK/NHSexperience
14. Experience ofworking in an MDT
15. Proficient ITknowledge and Microsoft Office skills
