Dr Gray’s Hospital welcomes Clinical Fellows as part of the team. Dr Gray’s is the smallest District General Hospital in Scotland and therefore offers the benefits of an experience aligned to Rural Medicine in a small friendly setting and opportunity to work across specialties. Some specific benefits may include:
* Clinical experience and practical skills are often gained where these would be hard to achieve in a larger teaching hospital environment.
* Direct consultant supervision, support and training
* Breadth of experience in paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology with potential to work in different specialties / settings
Exciting developments and workforce innovation are currently taking place at Dr Gray’s Hospital by promoting Rural Medicine, Acute Medicine and Family Medicine models. We are looking to develop Dr Gray’s as a Centre of Excellence for Rural Medicine training and experience.
The Clinical Fellowship (CF) programme is suitable for trainees who have recently completed or are about to complete the UK Foundation Programme, Core Surgical Training or Core Medical Training or have equivalent experience in UK NHS posts and a completed Evidence of Foundation Competence certificate.
The successful candidate will be contracted for 40hrs per week on average undertaking clinical activities including an out-of-hours commitment. The post holder will be paid at ST level based on their previous experience. A pay supplement relevant to the OOH component of their rotas will also be received.
The following incentives may be offered:
* Neonatal life support training
* Opportunity to attend local training programmes
At Dr Gray’s we value Clinical Fellows and want to invest in your future!
