About the role
Production Technician II will be engaged in the manufacture of test kits on the production floor and in the clean room, as well as assembly and test of instruments on the bench, using test software. They must have the ability to read production work instructions, drawings, routings, and bills of material. Assemble electrical/mechanical components and products based on work order, production work instructions, drawings, and bills of material. Perform production testing of product and maintain Quality performance. Document production or quality issues using the appropriate procedures and participate in Continuous Improvement program.

What you’ll do
1. Must be able to read assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions.
2. Assemble and test units that comply with work instructions and quality procedures. Assembly and testing may include setup, breakdown and use of various automated machines, filling, labeling, and testing equipment/software.
3. Must be able to properly and safely use all standard hand tools including but not limited to, screw drivers, wrenches, ratchets, wire cutters, cordless screwdrivers, and crimpers.
4. Interpret work instructions and drawings in the English language to successfully assemble product.
5. Prepare units for final quality inspection according to current policy and procedure.
6. Routinely perform cycle counts in a designated work area.
7. Keep area clean and organized and be an active participant in our lean manufacturing continuous improvement program.
8. Trained to assemble, calibrate, and test the majority of product lines, including critical electrical/mechanical components used in Production.
9. Trained to assist Service department with occasional repair of instruments and/ or component assembly and test.
10. Assist Engineering and provide necessary input in process and product development.
What we are looking for in you
11. Instrument and Sub-Assembly build and testing.
12. Ability to assemble critical assemblies with very tight tolerances.
13. Ability to verify and inspect previous builds.
14. Ability to train lower-level assemblers and technicians.
15. Participate in 5S and ESP activities.
16. Proven quality and adherence to policies and procedures and documentation.
17. Experience in Microsoft Office tools including SharePoint.
18. Three to five years’ production assembly experience.
19. Experience in the manufacturing of precision instrumentation.
20. Experience in testing and IT is an advantage but not required.
21. GCSE Qualifications or equivalent required.

22. Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
23. Able to lift thirty pounds.
24. Must be able to remain stationary for long periods.
25. Typical office/workshop environment.
26. May involve travel.

Schedule/Hours: Monday to Friday, General business hours
Targeted Salary Range: $28k - $35k per year
