We are actively recruiting an experienced Resident Maintenance Technician to support a dedicated customer site in Middlesbrough DC.
The position is full-time and involves maintaining and repairing state-of-the-art Dematic automation equipment at the distribution center.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the automated materials handling system.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform automated material handling and equipment servicing following quality standards and schedules.
* Undertake scheduled repairs based on manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
* Diagnose and repair Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, PLC, and PC faults.
* Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
* Ensure high-quality output and accurate record-keeping.
* Participate in continuous improvement and sales opportunities.
* Maintain optimal on-site spares levels.
* Represent the company professionally and maintain good customer relations.
* Follow company quality processes and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
* ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Preferably completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship.
* Ability to interpret Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic manuals and drawings.
* Willingness to work shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
* Basic knowledge of control systems and PLC equipment.
* Experience working at heights and with conveyor systems.
* Proficient in IT literacy.
* Understanding of preventive maintenance schedules.
* Knowledge of FEM and BS standards is desirable but not essential.
