MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLEAs Supply Chain Cost Analyst, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory valuation and supply chain transactions across the business.Working closely with Finance and Supply Chain teams, you will help ensure stock is accurately costed, supplier claims are effectively managed, and inventory movements are properly controlled and analysed.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working across departments in a fast-paced environment.ACCOUNTABILITESThis role will involve the following responsibilities:Maintain and monitor accurate inventory valuation across the businessReview and update average cost calculations to ensure stock reflects true landed costAnalyse stock adjustments within the General Ledger and investigate variancesMonitor inter-branch stock transfers and investigate cost discrepanciesReview freight invoices and ensure accurate allocation of costs to inventoryValidate supplier pricing against agreed commercial termsInvestigate discrepancies relating to pricing, quantities, and product qualityManage supplier claims including damaged, faulty, or short-shipped goodsMaintain supplier rebate schedules and ensure accuracy of terms and spend trackingReview and manage quarantined stock and ensure timely resolutionMonitor stock movements and investigate valuation or transfer discrepanciesAnalyse inventory cost trends and highlight anomaliesSupport cross-functional teams in resolving stock and costing issuesContribute to continuous improvement of inventory control and costing processesThe above list in not exhaustive.SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCEEssential Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years experience in a similar analytical, finance, or supply chain roleStrong understanding of inventory valuation and costing principlesExperience in finance, stock control, supply chain, or stock accountingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracyStrong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionallyProficient in Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel and OutlookExperience using ERP systems (e.g. GenetiQ/Intact or similar)Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environmentDesirable Skills & ExperienceExperience in wholesale, distribution or manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of landed cost calculations and inventory reconciliationsUnderstanding of supplier rebates and stock adjustment analysisSkills:Supply Chain Cost Accountant AnalyticsBenefits:Competitive Salary Health Cash Plan Life Assurance Free on Site ParkWHJS1_NI
