Role Overview:
KPMG UK seeks a Lead GenAI Engineer to join our Data & AI team, specializing in generative AI model development, AI transformation, and large-scale enterprise AI implementations. You will lead impactful AI initiatives, drive innovation, and address complex business challenges. As a thought leader, you will guide cross-functional teams, define AI strategies, and deliver cutting-edge solutions that generate tangible outcomes for KPMG and our clients. The role also offers significant influence on how AI shapes KPMG's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead AI Transformations
o Drive large-scale generative AI transformation projects, ensuring seamless adoption that tackles critical business challenges.
o Provide AI thought leadership, advising on strategy, roadmaps, and integration of generative AI into business processes to create value.
2. Technical Leadership and Collaboration
o Lead AI engineers and data scientists, mentoring juniors and ensuring best practices.
o Collaborate to design and architect scalable AI systems integrating generative models into enterprise environments.
o Create proofs of concept, deliver MVPs, and deploy models into production.
3. Business Development & Practice Building
o Work with business teams and clients to demonstrate AI potential and assess feasibility.
o Lead feasibility studies, develop data strategies, support RFP responses, and conduct demos.
4. Ethical and Secure AI Deployment
o Ensure compliance with data governance and industry regulations.
o Implement best practices in data privacy, security, and ethical AI, especially with sensitive data.
o Contribute to KPMG's knowledge base on fair and transparent AI deployment.
5. Research & Innovation
o Stay updated with AI advancements, applying new methodologies to improve models.
o Research new AI use cases and innovate to enhance offerings.
o Publish findings and share insights at industry conferences.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields preferred, but relevant experience can suffice. Advanced certifications are a bonus.
* Work Experience: Proven expertise in AI/ML, especially with generative AI at scale, LLMs like GPT and BERT, AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud-native solutions, and tools such as Databricks and Snowflake. Experience managing stakeholders in complex environments.
* Skills: Proficient in designing and optimizing generative AI models, prompt engineering, understanding ML algorithms, deploying in cloud environments, version control, Linux, Docker, data engineering tools, and strong communication skills. Business development experience is a plus.
