City College Norwich is seeking an exceptional leader to head our Data, Funding and Examinations services. This pivotal role provides strategic and operational leadership across Registry Services, ensuring the accurate management of student data, the smooth delivery of enrolment and examinations processes, and full compliance with funding, audit and regulatory requirements.
As part of the College Management Team, you will play a central role in shaping high‑quality services that directly support outstanding student experiences and outcomes.
About the Role
The Head of Data, Funding and Examinations leads a multifunctional service responsible for:
Student records, enrolment, registration and assessments
Data quality, reporting and statutory returns
Examination planning and delivery
Funding compliance and financial effectiveness
Registry policy development and operational service improvements
You will champion service excellence, manage and develop high‑performing teams, and ensure that systems, processes and data are accurate, robust and aligned with College priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for Registry Services, driving efficiency, accuracy and continuous improvement.
Manage student data and reporting, ensuring high-quality, timely and compliant submissions.
Oversee all aspects of enrolment, assessments, examinations and certification processes.
Maintain strong understanding of national funding streams, ensuring compliance and maximising income opportunities.
Lead and develop teams, ensuring effective performance management, recruitment and professional development.
Review and enhance systems and procedures to meet quality assurance standards.
Drive transformation projects and process redesign to support operational effectiveness.
Work collaboratively across all curriculum areas to deliver excellent services for students and staff.
Promote and model the College’s Ways of Working.
About You
We are looking for a confident, inspirational and solutions‑focused leader with:
Essential qualifications and experience:
A relevant degree and/or professional qualification
A management qualification (or commitment to achieve one within 2 years)
At least 3 years’ experience in a related support area
Proven success in managing support operations and quality systems
Experience leading staff to improve performance and outcomes
Skills and attributes:
Strong leadership and team‑building capabilities
Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Innovative, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement
