As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
1. Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
2. Undertake medication rounds, assess and treat patients who may have experienced traumatic events and may be distressed.
3. Assess patients' health needs using an evidence-based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge.
4. Work with individuals providing advice, support, and information, managing a caseload of patients.
5. Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference.
6. Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, liaising with prescribers as required.
7. Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders.
8. Promote best practice, clinical supervision, and evidence-based care.
9. Share knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multidisciplinary teams and supporting each other.

Qualifications include:
* Qualified Mental Health Nurse with NMC registration.
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
* Experience working face-to-face with patients with complex mental health conditions.
* Experience with psychosocial interventions, group work, and awareness of substance misuse.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with service hours from 8 am to 6 pm. The role can be completed over 4 or 5 days, with one weekend every 6-8 weeks. The annual salary ranges from £33,232 to £40,211 per annum FTE, depending on experience.
