Position Overview:
The primary focus of this role will be teaching Key Stage 3 students, with some responsibilities involving Key Stage 4 as well. As a Teacher of Maths, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing students' mathematical fluency, problem-solving abilities, and appreciation for the subject's real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Foster conceptual understanding and fluency in mathematical fundamentals
2. Encourage problem-solving skills through real-world applications
3. Cultivate an appreciation for mathematics within historical, cultural, and societal contexts
4. Promote independent and cooperative learning among students
5. Effectively communicate mathematical concepts using various modes
6. Emphasise the interconnectedness of different branches of mathematics
7. Equip students with the skills to apply mathematical concepts in everyday scenarios
8. Encourage critical thinking and hypothesis testing through mathematical investigation
9. Integrate mathematics across the curriculum to enhance interdisciplinary learning

Requirements:
11. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
12. Strong subject knowledge in mathematics
13. Previous experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4

Remuneration:
The salary for this position is to scale, offering a competitive day rate ranging from £153.85 to £211.96, commensurate with experience.
