We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual to manage the hotel’s housekeeping department. Our ideal candidate will have experience in supervising the effective operational management of the housekeeping department and maximising guest satisfaction. As an Housekeeping Manager, you will report directly to the GeneralManger. You will also be directly managing all housekeeping personnel, including those who are employed by the hotel, as well as those outsourced through employment agencies or contractors. Managing Guest Service: Creating an environment where everyone in the hotel is focused on “walking the extra mile” to deliver outstanding customer service Analysing Mystery guest information and communicating to the team Positively dealing with and learning from customer complaints and comments Managing Hotel Standards: To ensure Hotel Standards are consistently delivered throughout the department Having detailed knowledge of the Hotel’s Standards Preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in conjunction with the Hotel Manger Managing The Operation: To plan, organise and control the day-to-day operation Preparing rotas and job schedules for staff to meet business needs Maintaining in-depth technical knowledge and skills required for the job Managing The Team: To provide and communicate clear direction to the team Understanding the aims of the hotel and departments roles in achieving it Communicating aims to the team Keeping the team up-to-date about departmental, hotel and company activities through regular Manage Financial Performance: To manage the financial performance of the department in line with the profit plan Using key monitors and financial targets to evaluate departmental performance and make future plans Managing People Development: To select, train, coach and develop people to meet current and future needs of the department and the hotel Carrying out selection interviews and making effective recruitment decisions Ensure new recruits have all relevant information before commencing employment Who are we? Minimum 2 years’ experience in a housekeeping supervisory/ Housekeeping Manager position within a luxury property experience is highly desirable Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve a high level of service Previous experience with Guestline PMS or setting up a property management system appreciated A self-starter who is creative, highly driven and results orientated and has the ability to be proactive Strong work ethic, agility, and clarity of thought, with the ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines Willingness to have a flexible working pattern to fit in with the needs of the business Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office French language skills are imperative.
