About Our Client

The Practice was established over 20 years ago with the aim of offering a friendly and professional approach to meeting the client needs of small and medium sized business enterprises. The Practice is ideally suited to identifying a clients requirements and helping to achieve the business owner's goals.

Job Description

As a Client Portfolio Manager, the following responsibilities are required:

3. Deal with day to day queries from customers in relation to cash-flow, accounts treatment, company tax advice, personal tax advice, CIS, VAT and PAYE
4. Provide a pro-active service to customers utilising relevant MI to ensure that they are constantly informed and have full visibility of all areas of their accounts
5. Provide dynamic and proactive tax and accounting support to 500 + clients using written and phone-based communication
6. Prepare statutory accounts - this will include preparation of accounts and supporting tax computations for customers requiring year end and cessation accounts
7. Engage with HMRC regarding the clients business and personal tax affairs
8. Assist in the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns
9. Undertake ad-hoc clean-up or other projects, meeting targets set at the start of the project
10. Provide mentor support to students within the team
11. Suggest process improvements necessary to the role

The Successful Applicant

12. Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms
13. Knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting
14. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
15. Experience with reviewing bookkeeping and accounts production processes
16. Experience across multiple business sectors
17. Understanding of audit and assurance processes
