Job Summary
We are seeking adedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Assistantto support amale client in his mid 40sinSouth East Essexwith a brain injury. This is apart-time role (15 hours per week), working closely with the client and a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery, independence, and community reintegration.
This role would suit someone who shares similar interests inDIY and sports, and can actively engage the client in these hobbies as part of his rehabilitation and well-being.
Key Duties
* Work as part of amultidisciplinary teamto support the client’s rehabilitation journey
* Support the client in achieving hisrehabilitation and cognitive goals
* Assist with the client’sdaily routine, promoting independence with activities of daily living
* Attend appointmentswith the client if needed
* Support the client withreintegrating into the community, encouraging social and functional engagement
* Engage the client inshared interests and activities, particularly DIY projects and sports
Requirements
* Previous experience working as arehabilitation assistant
* Experience supporting individuals withbrain injury
* Ability tobuild trust and maintain professional boundaries
* Right to work in the UK
* Anenhanced DBS checkandcarer insurance(or willingness to obtain)
* A validUK driving licenceand access to a car (desirable but not essential)
