Certain Advantage is hiring for a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in the Derby area. This role is permanent and site‑based.

The Role
This role is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer—you will be results‑oriented, driven to succeed, and leading a small, experienced, collaborative team. Responsibilities include:
* Leading the development of a fluid system
* Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Layout Drawings, Component Sizing Calculations, Component and Equipment Datasheets and Specifications, and other concept or detailed design‑related documents
* Systems Engineering
* Integration of system design into the wider power plant
* Act as technical support and point of contact for interfaces and stakeholders
The Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:
* Nuclear sector background or other highly regulated industries such as thermal power generation, oil and gas, and process sectors
* Fluid system design development
* FEED through to detailed design and EPC delivery
* Development of procurement specifications and working with equipment suppliers
* Appreciation and application of ASME, European and UK codes and standards
* Systems Engineering
* Educational background to a Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in an engineering discipline & CEng in a relevant discipline or working towards Professional Registration
* Eligibility for a high level of security clearance
