Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)

In this position, you'll be based in the Edinburgh office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week.

The Client Management department is dedicated to fostering best-in-class client partnerships, ensuring retention, satisfaction and growth. The team actively seeks new business opportunities, manages risks, and ensures the delivery of services aligns with client expectations. Additionally contributing to the company's financial health through budgeting, forecasting and market analysis and playing a key role in the identification and management of risk.

In a close, collaborative and supportive team, you'll form the bridge between Computershare and its clients; balancing objectives accordingly. You'll feed into product and service development by representing client needs and requirements, manage and drive internal relationships that are key to service delivery certainty and share your ideas and experiences to the benefit of the wider function. In addition, a key part of this role is to develop colleagues (e.g. Clients Managers, Assistant Client Managers as this team grows) to ensure they have the requisite skills, experience together with a highly productive work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and maintain proactive, trust-based relationships with senior/executive client stakeholders; act as a trusted advisor and align delivery with client objectives.

* Define account strategy and lead the team's strategic direction while balancing day‑to‑day operational excellence.

* Develop, mentor, and manage the team to high performance, including clear goals, feedback, and accountability.

* Demonstrate strong commercial acumen: own/oversee P&L, budgeting, forecasting, pricing levers, and revenue health.

* Identify and progress growth opportunities (upsell, cross-sell, renewals) in partnership with Business Development.

* Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks; keep stakeholders informed with clear escalation paths.

* Ensure robust governance, regulatory adherence, and audit readiness across processes and controls.

* Continuously improve processes, policies, and KPIs to drive efficiency, quality, and consistency.

* Oversee the planning and delivery of client events (e.g., key corporate actions) and ensure swift, effective incident resolution.

* Build strong relationships across internal functions to coordinate delivery and influence outcomes for clients.

* Convey complex information clearly; lead executive presentations, steering forums, and commercial negotiations; proficient in MS Office.

* Manage delivery and compliance for distributed, global client portfolios with region-specific requirements.

Other key skills you will bring to the role

* Bachelor's or Master's degree level qualification or significant work experience.

* Significant experience as a Senior Client Manager or in a strategic client-facing leadership role within a sizeable commercial organisation, ideally operating in a global environment

* Proven experience managing complex, high-value client portfolios, driving retention, growth and long-term strategic partnerships

* Experience working effectively with senior leaders and colleagues across multiple locations and time zones
