We are seeking caring, resilient, and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to support pupils within a specialist primary setting for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Working with children aged 5–11, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils who may experience challenges with emotional regulation, behaviour, communication, relationships, and engagement in learning. Many pupils may also have associated needs such as ADHD, autism, attachment difficulties, anxiety, trauma-related behaviours, and learning difficulties. The Role: Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils throughout the school day. Help pupils engage positively with learning and classroom activities. Support the development of social skills, emotional wellbeing, and self-confidence. Promote positive behaviour and implement strategies to support emotional regulation. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe, valued, and understood. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs. What We're Looking For: A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to remain calm, consistent, and positive in challenging situations. Experience working with children, SEMH, SEND, youth work, care, or similar support roles. A genuine passion for helping vulnerable children succeed.
