Job Description

Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Department: Front of House

Salary: £35,208 (including service charge)

Inspired & Supported by: Reception Manager

Your purpose will be: First impressions are everything! As a Receptionist with The Savoy you have the opportunity to provide a welcome experience like no other. Your personalised greeting, care in Guest room selection and knowledge of the hotel will ensure our Guests have a lasting memory of their visit.


You will be accountable for:

4. Passionately and expertly creating a 5-star luxury guest experience, characterised by flawless efficiency and authentic emotional connection
5. Taking ownership of any guest request which comes your way seeing it through until completion

Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

6. Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
7. Greet, check in and settle guest accounts while ensuring service standards are met
8. Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
9. Administrative duties and assistance with the preparation of the Night Audit
10. Respond to each Guest who approaches Reception
11. Drive rate through up-selling room brands
12. Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
13. Follow all safety policies
14. Other duties as assigned
15. Paying keen attention to guest preferences and update profiles accordingly
16. Working different shifts including night shifts

Qualifications

What you will need to do this role:

Essential:

17. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Front Desk related role in a luxury hospitality environment
18. Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written with the ability to build rapport quickly and communicate well with people of all levels
19. Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships
20. Ability to multi task and problem solve in a fast paced environment
21. Keen eye for detail
22. Previous experience of guest complaint handling and going the extra mile to meet guest needs
23. Flexibility to work different shifts including night shifts
24. Knowledge of OPERA PMS
