GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Blyth. As a TA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their academic, emotional, and social development, helping them reach their full potential in the classroom.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, including those with additional needs.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Assist in preparing resources and maintaining classroom organisation.
* Work closely with the class teacher to track student progress and provide feedback.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A caring and patient approach to supporting students’ learning.
* A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
