Overview
Adult Social Care Practitioner - Neighbourhoods (Adults) at Somerset Council. Part-time 30 hours per week in Bridgwater. Salary £23,187 rising to £25,995 per year. Hybrid working opportunities. Opportunity to join the path to becoming a fully qualified Social Worker.
Responsibilities
* Encourage people to be independent, helping them grow their confidence and make the most of the support available to suit their individual needs.
* Identify what people and families are worried about or what they want to achieve, explore existing support and what they need.
* Develop strong knowledge of the local area and work in partnership with local agencies.
* Provide creative solutions.
* Be a key part of developing the new and exciting Adult Social Care service.
Experience and Qualifications
* Desirable to hold or be working towards an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (health and social care related).
* Experience in a caring or supportive role.
* Willing to do things differently to create better support for people.
* Passionate about advocating for others.
* Innovative, creative and solution-focused in supporting people to be independent.
