Support the Unit Management Team (UMT) to manage Newbury Sea Cadets to comply with Maritime Society and Sea Cadets, and Charity Commisssion Policies

What will you be doing?
Description - of role Newbury Sea Cadets is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated trustee to join its Unit Management Team (UMT). We are a long-established Sea Cadet unit that has provided life-changing opportunities for many young people. We currently have 35 cadets who come from all over the West Berkshire area. The charity is currently looking for volunteers that can support with the running of the unit. There are free training courses available for you to develop new skills, boost your CV and support you in this role. The tasks of a trustee include but are not restricted to the following Support the Unit Management Team (UMT) chair to manage a safe, effective, and successful sea cadet unit Support the UMT in ensuring all unit activities and matters comply with appropriate regulations and Marine Society and Sea Cadet (MSSC) policies Support the unit's fundraising efforts Ensuring that all young people and instructors at the unit are engaged in fun and safe activities Attend a regular UMT meeting – usually two hour, monthly or bi-monthly, on a weekday evening (the majority of which are Teams based)
