Project Support Officer

Responsibilities
The role is the first point of contact with the care group for a range of external partners, existing and potential new starters, students, apprentices and new hires. You will collaborate with universities, further education institutes, NHS providers and other partners, providing a warm and professional welcome.
Working across a variety of existing and evolving projects, you will support clinicians and service leads to plan and deliver projects. This includes identifying, collecting and collating data to evidence project progress, and sourcing and coordinating placements for pre‑registration students.
Main duties
* Sourcing and managing student placements for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy from universities across the region.
* Collaborating with placement leads in Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Podiatry and Community Nursing to ensure equitable distribution of students and quality placements.
* Acting as the first point of contact for external partners regarding students and apprentices, and quality‑assuring the welcome and first impression for new starters.
* Developing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases to inform regular reports on placement capacity and tariff income generation.
* Maintaining up‑to‑date records of access to external training/development courses for clinical staff, quality‑assuring applications and identifying appropriate funding routes.
* Supporting the development of new graduates and staff new to the NHS through preceptorship, ensuring timely access to information and resources, and tracking their progress through the foundation stages.
Person Specification
Education & Qualification
* Project management qualification.
* Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
Knowledge, Training and Experience
* Database/spreadsheet development and analysis.
* Report writing skills and experience.
Communication
* Managing conflicting expectations, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
* Professional and courteous manner.

Salary
£28,392 to £31,157 a year pro rata
