TeacherActive is proud to partner with a SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities provision based in Wakefield. The school follows a varied curriculum tailored to the needs of the young people, emphasizing social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic learning. Their culture is one of patience, inclusivity, and support to help children and young people with disabilities build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
The school aims to meet the specific needs of all students by offering personalized learning approaches. They are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to support the diverse needs of students across all Key Stages, aged 5 to 19 years. Most students are diagnosed with Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder / ADHD.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have a passion for working with students with SEND.
2. Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASD, SLD, and ADHD.
3. Experience working with students through therapeutic practices.
