Job Description
The Role:
We're looking for a self-motivated individual to support our Merchandising team for womenswear. The role's main purpose will be to assist in creating and monitoring range plans, campaign spend vs budget and using BI data to assist business and range expansion.
Location: Currently our head office is based in Leominster, Herefordshire. However, we’re very excited to relocate to our new, state-of-the-art office creating a modern, stylish workspace designed to encourage collaborative working, teamwork and creativity - everything that MandM is about!
Hours: Offering flexible office working hours, Monday to Friday, on a hybrid basis, 2 days per week remotely and 3 days per week at head office.
Main Responsibilities:
* Analysis of historical sales/sell-through, price points, size curves, gender, customer insights and retail data to create a range plan by brand/category for each season.
* Drive divisional performance, Own and achieve agreed KPI’s.
* Within the Division create seasonal budgets and buy plans based on previous history and future trends.
* Monitor and manage divisional open-to-buy in line with an agreed budget.
* Management of product life cycle on a weekly basis.
* Work with the trading team to launch product, track vs forecasted performance, identify slow-moving products and review how to improve performance.
* Analysis of stock offers to identify gaps and opportunities.
* Ad hoc data reporting and analysis.
Skills and knowledge Required:
* Previous Merchandising experience in a fast-paced retail business.
* An understanding of Online trading, ideally gained in an online or multi-channel business.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Ability to work using own initiative.
* Interest in clothing/footwear.
* Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
* Ability to self-prioritise workload.
